Pesticide Residue & Microbiological Contamination Analysis

People are becoming increasingly more concerned of their health and the environmental dangers. Many of the pesticides, chemicals and fertilizers used on the farming land can be quite harmful to both human body and the soil. Asia Foods is not only committed to providing our customers with healthy and safe products but also protecting our environment as evidenced by our successful certification of organic farming which does not use any chemical fertilizer or pesticide, thereby protecting our soil. Asia Foods will also start using recycled packaging materials so as to protect the environment. Asia Foods' products are all natural with no preservatives, artificial coloring or flavors added.

To ensure product safety, the Quality Assurance Department conducts microbiological contamination and pesticide residue analysis in several stages from harvest to production process and finally to shipment. Our state of the art equipments and highly trained professional staff also enable us to detect any microbiological contamination or residue of remaining pesticide and its category.

Unified Pesticide Purchase & Usage Management System

In 2003 we developed a unified pesticide management system. According to the local weather  condition, the growing characteristics of the crops and the inherent laws of diseases and insects, in every planting season, the contract farmers together with our staff will set up disease and insect prevention scheme and draw a pesticide usage plan.

Raw Material Freshness Management

To enhance and capture the freshness and nutrients of the raw materials, Asia Foods purchased FMC Food Tech (Model #BH7100) harvester from France for its Taiwan farms. As a result, the time which raw materials are harvested and brought to the factory until IQF freezing were reduced to half. Whereas it takes approximately 12 hours if by handpick, the whole process only takes 6 hours when using harvester; thereby enhancing the quality, the freshness and the nutrients of raw materials.





Production Process Management

Furthermore, Asia Foods has been implementing the principles of HACCP, ISO, and GMP to better maintain and strengthen the management of our product quality and safety. HACCP, ISO and GMP are more than just another certificate to Asia Foods. We constantly review our operating procedures, records and application tools, identify potential risks and make necessary corrective actions.
