1994
Under China OFDC's (Organic Food Development Centre) & SEPA's (State Environmental Protection Administration) supervision, Asia Foods started the organic conversion farming scheme in Taian, Shandong province.

1997
Taian Taishan Asia Food is certified by the OFDC as the 1st frozen organic vegetables processing plant, with production and export to Japan beginning shortly thereafter.

1998
Taian Taishan Asia Food is certified by OCIA (Organic Crop Improvement Association of USA) as the 1st frozen organic vegetables processing plant; plans to expand the factory were also initiated.

2000
Taian Taishan Asia Food is certified by JONA (Japan Organic & Natural Association).

2001
After the amendments to the JAS (Japan Agricultural Standard) law, we have improved our quality and pesticide residue control by purchasing more sophisticated laboratory equipments and increasing staff training thereby allowing us to test larger pools of samples from sowing, cultivation, harvesting, processing to final shipment to ensure our product safety.

2003
Taian Taishan Asia Food is certified by Kosher (Kosher Supervision of America).

2005
Currently, we have combined annual organic production capacity of 5,000 tons and 3,860 hectares of certified organic farming lands under the company management, with more hectares being added each year.

 

 



Farming Fields Control & Management

A farm manager and a quality control staff from Asia Foods are dispatched to each of the 10 organic farms to support, observe and record the daily activities. From February 2005 we established a soil inspection laboratory at Taian Taishan Asia Food. By which the contain of nitrogen, phosphoric, potassium and organic elements will be tested. By frequently testing the soil, we will be able to adjust and improve the quality of the soil and the compost production.
Moreover, we constantly exchange information with the American and Japanese organic association in order to continuously improve and update our organic farming techniques and overall control and management.

Compost Production Facility & Management
At the factory's compost production facility, 7 tons of basic composts are produced per day. These basic composts are then distributed to 10 farms where other raw material such as straw is added. We also work with researchers from local Agricultural University on a regular basis to analyze the structure and fertility of the soil so as to assess the most suitable composition of compost for each farming fields.



Quality Control & Factory Management

Asia Foods has 2 certified factories processing frozen organic vegetables. In order to improve our quality control and factory management to an international level, we have implemented ISO 9002 and HACCP which enable us to trace the data by each lot. To date, both factories have received ISO 9002 and HACCP certificates.



Pesticide Residue Control & Management
In Asia Foods, we conduct pesticide residue tests not only for the organic vegetables but also the conventional items at every stage from sowing, harvest, production, to final shipment. As we are committed to organic farming, low pesticide and low chemical fertilizer farming, TBS system is applied to our factory. Quality Assurance Department was also established for each of our processing plant and is equipped with sophisticated advance equipments and well-trained staffs.
